Vrej Khatcherian Injured in Motorcycle Crash on Durango Drive [Las Vegas, NV]

31-Year-Old Vrej Khatcherian in Critical Condition after Las Vegas Motorcycle Accident

 
LAS VEGAS, NV (January 6, 2020) – Authorities identified 31-year-old Vrej Khatcherian of Las Vegas as the motorcyclist injured in a motorcycle crash in the west valley, Monday evening.
 
According to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, the incident happened at about 8:01 PM. A motorcycle was heading northbound on Durango Drive at a high rate of speed. After that, a 2017 Subaru attempted to make a left turn. As a result, it collided with the motorcycle near Charleston Boulevard.
 
The impact of the collision caused the motorcycle to overturn and end up on its side. After that, Khatcherian slid into the rear of the Subaru.
 
Emergency responders rushed Khatcherian to University Medical Center, where he remained in critical condition as of early Tuesday. However, the 59-year-old Subaru driver remained at the scene and did not show signs of impairment.
 
LVMPD continues to investigate the cause of the crash. However, authorities will release additional information once it becomes available.
