50-Year-Old Pedestrian Hospitalized after Crash on Central Avenue
CITY HEIGHTS, CA (January 3, 2020) – A 50-year-old man suffered injuries in a pedestrian accident on Central Avenue, Friday evening.
According to the San Diego Police Department, the incident happened at about 10:50 PM. A 2004 Toyota Tacoma was heading east on Orange Avenue when it struck the victim.
The victim sustained serious and life-threatening injuries, including a fractured arm, fractured leg, and kidney damage from a lacerated artery. Updates on his current condition remain undisclosed.
Meanwhile, the 18-year-old driver remained and cooperated with investigators. Officers ruled out drugs and alcohol as factors in the collision. Authorities will release additional information once it becomes available.
