WILMINGTON, CA (December 28, 2019) – A man suffered injuries after a car crashed into a strip mall on North Avalon Boulevard, Saturday morning.
 
According to the Los Angeles Fire Department, the incident happened at about 10:20 AM. A 60-year-old woman attempted to park her Lexus when she accidentally hit the gas pedal instead of the brake pedal. The car struck a man, knocking him through a glass plate window.
 
Then, the vehicle continued into a cell phone store and hit objects inside the building.
 
The unidentified pedestrian suffered small lacerations from the glass window and complained of pain. Meanwhile, the driver did not suffer injuries in the crash.
 
Investigators ruled out drugs and alcohol as factors in the crash. Authorities will release additional information once it becomes available.
