VISTA, CA (January 07, 2020) – A person suffered fatal injuries in a two-vehicle crash on Highway 78 in Vista Saturday morning.
 
The crash occurred past 8:15 a.m. on the westbound side of the highway near Sycamore Avenue. According to the California Highway Patrol, it involved a small sedan and a semi-truck.
 
The cause and the events leading to the crash were not immediately clear. However, the CHP said the sedan hit the back portion of the truck.
 
The authorities also did not immediately release the identity of the victim. The investigation is ongoing.
