Woman Dead after Union Pacific Train Accident near East Railroad
SACRAMENTO, CA (January 4, 2020) – A woman died after a train accident on near Railroad Avenue in Sacramento on Sunday, December 29.
A Union Pacific train traveling northbound struck a pedestrian near East Railroad Avenue and Napa Avenues. The incident happened in the Colonial Manor neighborhood shortly after 7:30 p.m.
The woman, whose identity was not yet released, died at the scene.
The train crew was not hurt. Union Pacific cooperated with the Sacramento Police Department to investigate what caused the incident. However, no other information was immediately available.
