Man Struck and Killed by Train on Golden State Boulevard and Saginaw Avenue

 
SELMA, CA (January 7, 2020) – A man in his 50s was fatally struck by train on Golden State Boulevard near Selma on Saturday, January 4.
 
According to the Selma Police Department, officers received a report of a train incident around 1:30 p.m. in the area of Golden State Boulevard and Saginaw Avenue.
 
Police said that the man walked on the tracks with his earbuds in. He never heard the train coming up behind him during the incident.
 
Authorities have not yet released the victim’s identity pending next of kin notification.
 
Authorities are still investigating the crash. There is no additional information available.
