Person Trapped and Injured after Two-Vehicle Crash on 680 Freeway

 
WALNUT CREEK, CA (December 28, 2019) – At least one person suffered injuries in a two-vehicle crash on 680 Freeway, Saturday evening.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident happened at about 8:15 PM. Due to unknown circumstances, two vehicles collided on the connector ramp from southbound Interstate 680 to westbound Highway 24.
 
Both vehicles involved ended up on the embankment beyond the right shoulder of the connector.
 
At least one person, described as conscious and alert, was trapped in one of the vehicles. The number of people involved and the extent of their injuries remain undisclosed.
 
CHP officers continue to investigate the cause of the crash. Authorities will release additional information once it becomes available.
