PHOENIX, AZ (December 23, 2019) – Two drivers suffered injuries after a car ran a red light on 43rd Avenue, early Monday morning.
 
According to the Phoenix Police Department, the incident happened at about 3:00 AM. A speeding sedan failed to stop at a red light along Buckeye Road. Then, the sedan collided with a southbound vehicle near the 43rd Avenue intersection.
 
The impact of the crash sent one of the vehicles into a power pole. Meanwhile, the other vehicle came to a rest on its side away from the intersection.
 
Emergency responders rushed both drivers to a hospital with life-threatening injuries. Updates on their current conditions remain undisclosed.
