Jeffrey Emerson Dead after Huntington Beach Pedestrian Accident
HUNTINGTON BEACH, CA (January 6, 2020) – A 30-year-old pedestrian identified as Jeffrey Emerson was fatally struck by an SUV on Thursday, January 2.
According to Sgt. Eric Warken of the Huntington Beach Police Department, at about 11:10 p.m., officers responded to Pacific Coast Highway near Magnolia Street. They discovered the pedestrian unresponsive on the side of the road.
Officers administered CPR until paramedics arrived. Yet the man died at the scene from major injuries sustained in the crash, Warken stated.
Authorities noticed a 2019 Dodge Durango with front-end damage parked on the street. The 51-year-old driver from Toronto remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigation. However, the three passengers in the SUV were not hurt.
