Driver Wanted after Hit-and-Run Crash on Highway 16 near Burley Olalla Road
PORT ORCHARD, WA (December 20, 2019) – Three people suffered injuries in a hit-and-run crash on Highway 16, Friday evening.
According to the Washington State Patrol, the incident happened at about 10:30 PM. Witnesses claim that a black Chevy Camaro was speeding in and out of traffic on the eastbound lanes of Highway 16. Then, the Camaro hit a pickup truck near Burley Olalla Road exit.
The impact of the collision knocked the truck into another vehicle, causing both vehicles to overturn.
Emergency responders rushed three people to a hospital with minor to serious injuries. Updates on their conditions remain undisclosed.
Meanwhile, the Camaro driver did not stop to render aid and fled the area. Investigators described the vehicle as a 2010-2016 model year and would have front-end damage.
