Woman Fatally Struck by Car on Oakland Road and McKay Drive

 
SAN JOSE, CA (January 3, 2020) – A 63-year-old woman was struck and killed by a vehicle on Oakland Road and McKay Drive on Saturday, December 28.
 
San Jose police Sgt. Enrique Garcia said that they received reports about a woman lying in the road at around 5:45 p.m.
 
Paramedics transported the woman to a local hospital where she died a short time later, Garcia stated. Her identity was not immediately available.
 
Investigators later found out that a 2008 Toyota Tundra headed south on Oakland Road struck the woman. She was not in a crosswalk when the accident happened, Garcia added.
 
The driver stayed at the scene and helped with the investigation. Officers believe that neither alcohol nor drugs appear to be a factor in the incident.
