LOS ANGELES. CA (January 3, 2020) – A 60-year-old female passenger was killed after the taxi she was in struck a Los Angeles Fire Department ambulance.
 
The accident happened at around 8:22 a.m. in the 13200 block of West Jefferson Boulevard on Saturday, December 28. It occurred when an ambulance responded to an emergency call with its lights and sirens activated.
 
The firefighter-paramedics gave medical treatments to the woman. However, they could not revive her. As a result, they pronounced her dead at the scene.
 
Her identity was not immediately available.
 
The paramedics brought the taxi driver and the firefighters involved to the hospital. Yet they did not appear to have visible, serious injuries, the Fire Department stated.
 
Officials did not provide more details about the incident.
