FRESNO, CA (December 29, 2019) – A man lost his life in a pedestrian crash involving a train in Central Fresno, Sunday evening.
According to the Fresno Police Department, the incident happened near McKinley Avenue and West Avenue. The train conductor saw the pedestrian at the tracks and attempted to warn him. However, the pedestrian did not respond and was eventually hit by the train.
Emergency responders pronounced the victim, described as a man in his 70s, dead at the scene. Authorities withheld the identity of the victim. As per reports, the victim’s family was contacted and they confirmed that the victim lived nearby.
