Eight Hospitalized after Car Crashes into Tribal Hall on Martinez Road
THERMAL, CA (December 26, 2019) – Eight people suffered injuries after a car crashed into a tribal hall on Martinez Road, Thursday evening.
According to the Riverside County Fire Department, the incident happened inside the Torres Martinez tribal lands, at about 5:00 PM. A funeral service was being held at the building when an SUV slammed into the tribal hall.
Emergency responders rushed a total of eight victims, including the SUV driver, to a hospital. One victim sustained serious injuries, while the other seven suffered minor to moderate injuries. Updates on their current conditions remain undisclosed.
The California Highway Patrol continues to investigate the cause of the crash. Authorities will release additional information once it becomes available.
