Man Found Dead Under Motorcycle near Tilting T Drive in Borrego Springs

 
BORREGO SPRINGS, CA (December 27, 2019) — A motorcycle accident near Tilting T Drive claimed the life of a 66-year-old man on Sunday.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the man had been reported missing on Sunday. They did not release the name of the victim who was a Borrego Springs resident.
 
Reports indicated that past 8 a.m. on Monday, someone reported finding the man near 1100 Tilting T Drive. The area is between the Borrego Springs and Club Circle resorts.
 
When the authorities arrived at the scene, they found the victim lifeless, pinned under a motorcycle in a levee off a Borrego Springs road Monday morning.
 
The investigators said the rider borrowed the motorcycle from a friend, saying he would be gone for about 30 minutes. When he did not return, the owner of the bike and the victim’s wife searched unsuccessfully for him. Unbeknownst to them, he crashed the bike at around 4 p.m. Sunday approximately two miles from where he began riding.
 
The San Diego County Sheriff’s Department subsequently received the information regarding the missing rider. The same was posted on social media.
 
The CHP does not believe that there were other vehicles or parties involved in the incident. However, their investigation continues.
