Two Vehicles Involved in Fatal Rollover Crash on 118 Freeway
MISSION HILLS, CA (December 26, 2019) – A woman died in a rollover crash on 118 Freeway, Thursday morning.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident happened at about 7:00 AM. A westbound vehicle attempted to change lanes when it collided with a second vehicle near the Sepulveda Boulevard offramp.
The impact of the collision knocked out a power pole. Also, one of the vehicles overturned and ended up on the southbound transition to the San Diego (405) Freeway.
Emergency responders pronounced a woman dead at the scene. Authorities withheld the identity of the victim, pending notification of next of kin. Meanwhile, three other victims sustained unspecified injuries in the collision.
CHP officers continue to investigate the cause of the fatal crash. Authorities will release additional information once it becomes available.
