Jacob Lopez Killed in Pedestrian Crash on 10 Freeway [Redlands, CA]

21-Year-Old Jacob Lopez Fatally Struck by Vehicle on Interstate 10 near Alabama Street

 
REDLANDS, CA (December 18, 2019) – Authorities identified 21-year-old Jacob Lopez of Colton as the pedestrian killed in a crash on 10 Freeway, Wednesday morning.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident happened at about 4:40 AM. Lopez was walking westbound from Alabama Street onramp. There, a 2013 tan GMC Sierra traveling on westbound Interstate 10 struck the pedestrian.
 
Emergency responders pronounced Lopez dead at the scene. Meanwhile, the GMC driver, identified as 59-year-old Ralph Maloof, remained and cooperated with investigators.
