Gabriel Johnson Injured in Fatal DUI Crash on Avenue 384 [Tulare County, CA]

One Killed, Gabriel Johnson and Four Others Hurt after DUI Head-On Crash on Avenue 384

 
TULARE COUNTY, CA (December 27, 2019) – One person died and five others including Gabriel Johnson were hurt after a head-on crash on Thursday, December 26.
 
According to authorities, a Kia traveled westbound on Avenue 384 near Monson Drive, southeast of Dinuba. Then the driver, 33-year-old Gabriel Johnson, drifted into the eastbound lane. This caused his vehicle to collide head-on with an oncoming Chevy.
 
Paramedics transported the driver of the van and all his female passengers to Kaweah Delta Medical Center in Visalia.
 
A 59-year-old woman who occupied the middle seat succumbed to her injuries. The driver is 39 years old. The front passenger, 36 years old, and two rear passengers are 43 and 21. All five are Fresno residents. Their identities were not yet released by the authorities.
 
Johnson sustained severe injuries. Emergency responders airlifted him to a local hospital. He was the sole person in the vehicle.
 
Investigators discovered a controlled substance in the Kia. Officials later arrested Johnson under suspicion of DUI.
