Carla Strother and Another Person Killed in Crash on Highway 223 [Bakersfield, CA]

Carla Latrice Strother ID’d in Deadly Crash in South Bakersfield

 
BAKERSFIELD, CA (December 23, 2019 ) — 44-year-old Carla Latrice Strother of Bakersfield and another person died in a crash in South Bakersfield Friday morning.
 
The California Highway Patrol said the accident happened at about 6:53 a.m. at Highway 223 and South Union Avenue.
 
A white pickup truck was northbound in the southbound lane of South Union Avenue when it collided with the Honda sedan driven by Strother on Highway 223.
 
Strother and another person involved suffered fatal injuries. Meantime, first responders took the passenger in the truck to a local hospital with major injuries.
 
The investigators said they are investigating the accident as a DUI.
