LOS MOLINOS, CA (December 27, 2019) — A Chico man identified as 18-year-old Brayden Lee Frazier and two Lewiston children died in a head-on crash.
The crash happened on Highway 99E near 62nd Avenue around noon on Saturday, December 21.
The accident occurred when a 2013 Honda Insight driven by Frazier crossed into the southbound lane. Then collided into a Freightliner truck head-on, according to a California Highway Patrol.
Frazier and his girlfriend, Eva Mirrin Davies, 27, of Lewiston, suffered major injuries. Paramedics rushed them to Enloe Medical Center in Chico, according to the release. Fraizer died on Monday, according to a subsequent release from the CHP.
Davies is the mother of the two children, a boy, 7, and a girl, 8, who died at the scene.
The driver of the semi, 28-year-old Gurinder Singh Sekhon, of Live Oak, was not harmed.
It is not yet determined whether alcohol or drugs contributed to the incident. They are also figuring out whether the children were properly restrained in the Honda.
The identities of the children will not be released, CHP said.
