50-Year-Old Woman Dies after Bicycle Crash on Mooney Boulevard [Visalia, CA]

VISALIA, CA (December 23, 2019) – A 50-year-old woman lost her life in a bicycle crash on Mooney Boulevard, Monday evening.
 
According to the Visalia Police Department, the incident happened at about 6:30 PM. The woman was riding her bicycle west in a southbound lane. There, a 2004 Ford F-150 hit her near Walnut Avenue.
 
Emergency responders rushed the victim to Kaweah Delta Medical Center, where she later died. Authorities withheld the identity of the victim, pending notification of next of kin. Meanwhile, it is unknown whether or not the driver of the vehicle remained to render aid.
 
Visalia police continue to investigate the cause of the fatal crash. Authorities will release additional information once it becomes available.
