Ruth Guerra and Trey Jones Injured, Matthew Garcia Involved in Paso Robles Three-Vehicle Crash

 
PASO ROBLES, CA (December 20, 2019) — A three-vehicle crash on Highway 101 near the Vineyard Drive off-ramp left two people injured Tuesday night.
 
The incident occurred at about 5:16 p.m. according to the California Highway Patrol. Involved were a 2008 Honda Accord driven by 77-year-old Ruth Guerra of Atascadero, a 1995 Acura Integra operated by 19-year-old Trey Jones of Paso Robles, and a 2003 Acura RSX driven by 28-year-old Matthew Garcia with a 16-year-old passenger.
 
The CHP reported that Jones and Garcia were stopped in the right-hand lane of Highway 101. At the same time, Guerra was in the right lane approaching the stopped traffic. However, she failed to stop her vehicle and rear-ended Garcia’s Honda. As a result, the Honda spun and hit Jones’s Acura.
 
First responders transported Guerra to Sierra Vista with minor injuries. Jones also suffered injuries but declined to go to the hospital. On the other hand, Garcia with his 16-year-old passenger did not report any injury.
