LOS ANGELES, CA (December 21, 2019) – A pedestrian was struck and killed by a Metrolink train between Montclair Station and Upland Station, Saturday morning.
 
The incident happened in a non-pedestrian area along the San Bernardino line, at about 9:40 AM. Due to unknown reasons, a person was in the area of the tracks. There, a Metrolink train struck the victim.
 
Emergency responders rushed the pedestrian to a nearby hospital, where the victim later died. Authorities withheld the identity of the victim, pending notification of next of kin.
 
Metrolink officials continue to investigate the cause of the fatal crash. Investigators will release additional information once it becomes available.
