Woman Injured in San Diego Pedestrian Accident on North Park Way
SAN DIEGO, CA (December 19, 2019) – A 47-year-old woman sustained serious injuries in a pedestrian accident on North Park Way on Monday, December 16.
According to San Diego police Officer John Buttle, the collision occurred at about 2:50 p.m. at the intersection of North Park Way and 31st Street.
A 2014 Toyota Corolla made a left turn from westbound North Park Way onto 31st Street. Then it struck the woman as she tried to cross the street.
Emergency responders rushed the woman to a hospital for treatment of a skull fracture, facial injuries and a brain bleed that required surgery. An update on the woman’s condition was not yet available.
The driver stayed at the scene. Buttle said intoxication is not believed to be a factor in the incident.
