Man Struck and Killed by Car on 104th Avenue SE in Kent
KENT, WA (December 19, 2019) – A man was struck and killed by a car while walking on 104th Avenue SE on Tuesday evening, December 17.
At about 6:20 p.m., the victim walked along 104th Avenue SE. Then a passing vehicle in the 23500 block struck the pedestrian, according to Cmdr. Robert Hollis with Kent Police.
The man died at the scene, Hollis stated. The driver was not harmed.
Hollis said the driver of the vehicle remained at the scene. Their initial investigation determined he didn’t show any signs of impairment.
The area has an intersection but does not have a crosswalk. The road was dark in that area, Hollis stated. Their investigation is still ongoing.
The victim’s identity was not immediately released.
