Driver Killed, Another Hurt after Sonora Two-Car Crash on Stockton Road

 
SONORA, CA (December 17, 2019) – One driver died and another was hurt after a two-car crash on Stockton Road and Highway 108 on Friday, December 13.
 
The Sonora Police Department received reports of the incident at around 8:30 a.m. According to Officer Scott Mallon, witnesses told police that the driver of a Nissan sedan was speeding. After that, it passed through other vehicles over a double-yellow line in the road before the incident happened.
 
The Nissan collided with a small Ford van driven by a woman. Mallon stated that he did not have any information about the condition of her injuries. Paramedics brought her by ambulance to a local hospital.
 
The man driving the Nissan died at the scene. Mallon said the man did not have his seat belt on during the crash. Reports describe him to be in his early 20s. There was no additional information available about the Nissan driver.
 
There were no passengers in both of the vehicles.
 
Officials shut down the area for about two hours during the investigation.
