Jose Toral Dead, John Hutchings Hurt in Two-Car Accident on Highway 101

 
TEMPPLETON, CA (December 17, 2019) – Officials identified Jose Toral, 35, of Atascadero as the man who died in a two-car crash on Saturday, December 14.
 
Shortly after 11 p.m., Toral traveled in a Ford Explorer northbound on Highway 101 near Main Street. Then he rear-ended a Honda driven by John Hutchings, 59, of Paso Robles. The collision forced the Explorer off the road and through the frontage road fence. The explorer came to rest on its roof.
 
Toral died at the scene. Hutchings sustained minor injuries.
 
Officers are still determining whether or not drugs or alcohol were factors in the fatal crash.
