Pedestrian Fatally Struck by Vehicle on Bollinger Road

 
CUPERTINO, CA (December 14, 2019) – A pedestrian was struck and killed by a car on Bollinger Road on Thursday, December 12.
 
San Jose police Officer Gina Tepoorten, the incident occurred near Bollinger Road and Wunderlich Drive shortly before 6:00 p.m.
 
An investigation determined that the adult male pedestrian tried to cross Bollinger Road. Then he a green 2016 Subaru traveling westbound struck him.
 
Officials said the pedestrian was not in a crosswalk.
 
Emergency responders rushed the pedestrian to a hospital, where he died a short time later. The Santa Clara County Medical Examiner-Coroner’s Office will release the name of the deceased after next of kin notification.
 
The adult female driver of the Subaru stayed at the scene and cooperated with the authorities, Tepoorten said. Officers do not suspect alcohol and drugs as factors in the incident.
 
Authorities shut down Bollinger Road at Wunderlich Drive until 10:30 p.m.
