Driver Arrested after DUI Crash on Highway 101 [Mountain View, CA]

Three Vehicles Involved in DUI Crash on Highway 101 near San Antonio Road

 
MOUNTAIN VIEW, CA (December 12, 2019) – A driver was arrested following a DUI crash on Highway 101, early Thursday morning.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident happened at about 1:45 AM. Due to unknown circumstances, a northbound red car crashed into the center divider. After that, the driver reportedly exited and abandoned the vehicle.
 
A short time later, two work trucks hit the abandoned vehicle near San Antonio Road.
 
Responding officers arrested the driver of the car, a 25-year-old man, for DUI. The driver sustained minor injuries, but it is unknown whether or not he required hospitalization.
 
Meanwhile, CHP shut down affected areas due to spilled gravel.
 
Officers continue to investigate the cause of the crash. Authorities will release additional information once it becomes available.
