Woman Fatally Injured in Stockton Pedestrian Accident on Center Street
STOCKTON, CA (December 13, 2019) — A 25-year-old woman died in a pedestrian accident on Center Street near Acacia Street on Tuesday, December 10.
The collision happened at around 8:45 p.m. involving a pedestrian and two passenger vehicles. The woman was in a crosswalk. However she tried to cross against a red traffic light and the vehicles had the right of way, police said.
Emergency responders rushed the woman to an area hospital where she died. Her identity was not yet released pending positive identification and notification of loved ones.
The drivers involved in the collision stayed at the scene and cooperated with traffic officers. No additional information was available.
