51-Year-Old Anthony Armenta Dies after Semi-Truck Collides with Pickup Truck in Nuevo

 
NUEVO, CA (December 10, 2019) – Authorities identified 51-year-old Anthony Armenta of Hemet as the man killed in a crash on Ramona Expressway, Tuesday evening.
 
According to the Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire Department, the incident happened at about 9:40 PM. Due to unknown circumstances, a semi-truck and a pickup truck collided near Lakeview Avenue.
 
Emergency responders pronounced the pickup truck driver, Armenta, dead at the scene. Meanwhile, the driver of the semi-truck remained and cooperated with investigators.
 
The California Highway Patrol continues to investigate the cause of the fatal crash. Authorities will release additional information once it becomes available.
