Passenger Injured after Eureka Rollover Crash at Indianola Cutoff

 
EUREKA, CA (December 12, 2019) — A passenger sustained head lacerations after a rollover crash at Indianola Cutoff and Highway 101 on Monday, December 9.
 
According to the CHP, at around 6:20 p.m., a white vehicle moved northbound on the safety corridor. Then a U.S. Post Office mail truck that attempting to make a left hand turn onto Highway 101 southbound lanes from the Indianola Cuttoff struck the vehicle.
 
A CHP officer said the driver of the mail truck did not sustain injuries. Yet, he had to have his mail truck towed.
 
The white vehicle that moved northbound on the safety corridor ended up on the side of the shoulder. Paramedics rushed the front passenger to the hospital. The victim sustained head lacerations and the driver was not hurt, according to officials.
 
It’s not yet determined if there were any other passengers in the vehicle or whether DUI contributed as a factor.
