Nai Wen Fan Dead after Harbor City Pedestrian Accident
HARBOR CITY, CA (December 12, 2019) – A man identified as Nai Wen Fan, 68, of Harbor City, died after a pedestrian accident on Monday, December 9.
Los Angeles city firefighters and Los Angeles police responded to the 25700 block of Vermont Avenue just before 6:35 p.m.
The man attempted to cross Vermont just north of Pacific Coast Highway when the vehicle struck him. It was not a hit-and-run, said LAPD Officer Drake Madison.
Officers discovered the victim lying in the roadway. First responders pronounced him dead at the scene, said Brian Humphrey, a spokesman for the Los Angeles Fire Department
It was not determined if drugs or alcohol contributed to the incident, or if the pedestrian was in a crosswalk.
