Maria De la Cruz Killed after Tulare Pedestrian Accident on Bardsley Avenue
TULARE, CA (December 11, 2019) – A woman identified as 71-year-old Maria De la Cruz, of Porterville, died in a pedestrian accident on Monday, December 9.
Shortly after 5 p.m., officers responded to a traffic crash in the area of Bardsley Avenue and P Street.
Upon arrival, officers found a 26-year-old man from Tulare. They identified him as the driver of the involved vehicle.
Officers also found the pedestrian at the scene. Paramedics rushed her by ambulance to an area hospital and succumbed to her injuries.
The driver of the involved vehicle stayed on scene. Police said the driver cooperated with the investigation, police stated.
