50-Year-Old Juana DeLaTorre Killed in Pedestrian Accident on 67th Avenue

 
PHOENIX, AZ (December 10, 2019) – Authorities identified 50-year-old Juana DeLaTorre as the pedestrian killed in a crash on 67th Avenue, Tuesday morning.
 
According to the Phoenix Police Department, the incident happened near Thomas Road. A 2015 Chevrolet Silverado attempted to make a left turn on a yellow signal and the driver did not see DeLaTorre in the crosswalk.
 
Emergency responders rushed DeLaTorre to a hospital, where she later died. Meanwhile, the 31-year-old driver remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators.
 
Phoenix police ruled out impairment and speed as factors in the fatal crash. Authorities will release additional information once it becomes available.
