Man Fatally Struck on Story Road in San Jose near Karl Street

 
SAN JOSE, CA (December 10, 2019) — A man was struck and killed by a car on Story Road in East San Jose on Saturday, December 7.
 
According to the police, at about 10:09 p.m., a 37-year-old man walked in traffic lanes on Story Road near Karl Street. Then a black Hyundai sedan traveling east struck him.
 
Paramedics rushed the man to a local hospital where he died a short time later, according to a San Jose police.
 
The driver of the Hyundai stayed in the area and cooperated with a police investigation. Neither the driver nor the sole passenger, both men, sustained injuries. Police said drugs or alcohol do not appear to have contributed to the incident.
 
The identity of the deceased victim will be released by the Santa Clara County Coroner’s Office after they confirm it and notify his loved ones.
