Man Fatally Struck in San Diego Pedestrian Accident on Linda Vista Road

 
SAN DIEGO, CA (December 10, 2019) – A 60-year-old man sustained fatal injuries in a pedestrian accident on Linda Vista Road on Saturday, December 7.
 
According to San Diego Police officer Robert Heims, the collision happened along the 7600 block of Linda Vista Road in the Clairemont Mesa East neighborhood. Police said that just before 10:25 p.m., a man dressed in dark clothing walked in front of a northbound Ford Escape SUV.
 
When officers arrived at the scene, they discovered the victim lying face-down with no vital signs, he said.
 
Police have not yet released the identity of the 28-year-old male driver pending notification of his loved ones.
 
Authorities don’t believe drugs or alcohol were factors in the incident. They didn’t file any charges.
 
The San Diego police’s traffic division handles the ongoing investigation.
