BAKERSFIELD, CA (December 9, 2019) — Michael John Ferialdi and Fernando Ramirez died in a head-on crash on Highway 14 on 2:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 7.
 
According to the CHP, officers received reports about an accident in Highway 14 south of Robbers Roost. Two vehicles, a KCSO patrol Chevy Tahoe and a Toyota Tacoma crashed head-on.
 
Two men, Ferialdi and Ramirez, from Burbank traveling in the Tacoma died at the scene. Both are 33 years old.
 
A third passenger, Paul Padilla, 30, sustained major injuries. As a result, paramedics brought him to Antelope Valley Hospital, CHP stated.
 
CHP identified the deputy as Sgt. James Anton. In addition, paramedics rushed Anton to Antelope Valley Hospital with serious injuries. However, officials stated they are not life threatening injuries.
 
Officials have not yet determined whether alcohol or drugs is a factor. However, any person with information about the accident Officer Maurer at the CHP’s office in Mojave at 823-5500.
