Edwardo Alfaro De Arellano Arrested, 10 Injured after Four-Vehicle Crash in Fresno
FRESNO, CA (December 2, 2019) – Ten people suffered injuries after a DUI driver crashed into four vehicles, Monday evening.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident happened at about 9:00 PM. A vehicle was traveling 80 to 90 miles per hour when it rear-ended an Audi SUV. The impact of the collision sent the Audi into the opposite lane. There, another crash occurred in the area of Manning Avenue and Zediker Avenue.
Emergency responders rushed ten people, including four children, to local hospitals. Updates on their current conditions remain undisclosed.
The driver of the first vehicle, identified as 33-year-old Edwardo Alfaro De Arellano of Reedley, also required hospitalization. Authorities later arrested him for felony DUI and driving without a license.
Recent updates state that he bonded out of jail on Tuesday afternoon. His bail was set at $27,000.
CHP officers continue to investigate the collision. Authorities will release additional information once it becomes available.
