Pedestrian Suffers Head Injuries after Crash on West Capitol Avenue

 
WEST SACRAMENTO, CA (November 29, 2019) – A 27-year-old Reno man suffered serious injuries in a pedestrian accident on West Capitol Avenue, Friday evening.
 
According to the West Sacramento Police Department, the incident happened at about 8:21 PM. Due to unknown circumstances, a dark Toyota sedan struck a pedestrian near Pecan Street.
 
Emergency responders rushed the pedestrian to a hospital with critical head injuries. As per recent updates, the victim remains in critical condition. Meanwhile, the driver of the sedan remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators.
 
Police ruled out drugs and alcohol as factors in the collision. Authorities will release additional information once it becomes available.
