SAN YSIDRO, CA (November 30, 2019) – A 46-year-old man suffered injuries in a bicycle crash on West Calle Primera, Saturday evening.
According to the San Diego Police Department, the incident happened at about 7:10 PM. Due to unknown reasons, the bike rider suddenly swerved in front of a northbound pickup truck. The impact of the collision knocked the man off his bicycle.
Emergency responders rushed the bicyclist to a hospital with major head injuries and brain swelling. As per reports, the victim underwent surgery at a trauma center. Meanwhile, the 67-year-old pickup driver remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators.
