Fatal Pedestrian Accident on Almaden Expressway in San Jose
SAN JOSE, CA (November 27, 2019) — A man died in a pedestrian accident on Almaden Expressway at Canoas Garden Avenue Sunday night.
The police said the incident occurred at about 6:15 p.m. approximately 800 feet north of Curtner Avenue. A Toyota Camry driven by a woman hit the pedestrian, killing him on the scene.
The Santa Clara County Coroner’s Office withheld the victim’s identity pending notification of next of kin. Meanwhile, the driver was cooperative with the police.
Neither alcohol nor drugs appear to be a factor in the accident according to the investigators. However, they urge anyone with information about this incident to contact Detective Matt Templeman of the San Jose Police Department’s Traffic Investigations Unit at (408) 277-4654.
