Crash on Refugio Road Sends Motorcyclist to Hospital [Santa Ynez, CA]

Motorcyclist Injured in Santa Ynez Crash on Refugio Road

 
SANTA YNEZ, CA (November 27, 2019) — A 20-year-old motorcyclist sustained serious injuries in a crash on Refugio Road in Santa Ynez Sunday afternoon.
 
Fire officials said the incident happened at 1900 North Refugio Road at around 12:32 p.m.
 
Two motorcyclists were driving down a driveway when one of them hit a trailer truck pulling a horse trailer. The said trailer truck was pulling out to make a turn on Refugio Road.
 
Emergency personnel airlifted the motorcyclist who ran into the horse trailer to Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital.
 
On the other hand, the driver of the truck and the second motorcyclist did not have any injuries.
 
Reports indicated that the truck driver did not notice the crash and kept driving for about a mile before realizing the damage to his truck. He went back to the scene of the crash and cooperated with the police.
