John Alonzo Jr. Fatally Injured in Manteca Motorcycle Crash
MANTECA, CA (November 27, 2019) — A motorcycle rider identified as John Alonzo Jr., 38, of Manteca died in a crash on Sunday, November 24.
Manteca police received reports at around 6:47 p.m. of a crash in the 1100 block of West Lathrop Road, just east of North Union Road. When officers and medics arrived at the scene, they started life-saving measures. However, the rider succumbed to his injuries at the scene, according to police.
The driver of the other vehicle involved stayed at the scene and cooperated.
The Manteca police Major Accident Investigation Team arrived to conduct the ongoing investigation.
Officials closed all Lathrop Road between South Union Road and Arrowsmith Drive for several hours.
