Fresno Fiery Crash on Highway 168 Results to Severe Injuries
FRESNO, CA (November 21, 2019) — A fiery crash on Highway 168 left one person with severe injuries on Wednesday afternoon.
The California Highway Patrol said a vehicle crashed over a cliff near the top of the four-lane, and then it caught fire.
At 5:30 p.m., the CAL FIRE Fresno County firefighters arrived in the area of Buckeye Heliport along the highway. They were able to put out the flames and rescue the driver.
The driver sustained major injuries and was airlifted to Community Regional Medical Center.
Further details about the incident were not immediately available. However, the CHP believed the driver may have had a problem with the brakes at the time of the crash.
