2-Year-Old Boy Struck and Killed on Banff Street [San Jose, CA]
Car Hits and Kills 2-Year-Old Pedestrian on Banff Street near Danube Way
SAN JOSE, CA (November 17, 2019) – A 2-year-old boy lost his life after he was struck and killed by a car on Banff Street, Sunday afternoon.
According to the San Jose Police Department, the incident happened at about 2:39 PM. While the boy’s family loaded up their car nearby, he ran out from between two parked cars and into the street. Then, a westbound 2018 Dodge pickup truck rounded the corner onto Banff Street. There, the vehicle struck the child.
Emergency responders rushed the boy to a local hospital. Unfortunately, he died a short time later. Authorities withheld the identity of the victim, pending his formal identification by the Santa Clara County coroner’s office.
The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators.
