Inglewood Mayor Runs Red Light, Knocking Motorcyclist Into Fountain
On Tuesday morning, a motorcyclist suffered significant injuries after an accident involving an SUV and a sedan near Exposition Boulevard and Pardee Way in Los Angeles.
The accident took place around 9 a.m. when the mayor of Inglewood ran a red light at an intersection and collided head-on with a sedan coming from the other direction. Due to the force of the impact, the SUV spun into a nearby LAPD motorcyclist, knocking him into a fountain.
According to officials, the motorcyclist was wearing a helmet and sustained moderate injuries. The occupants of the sedan and the driver of the SUV were uninjured in the collision.
The Inglewood mayor remained at the scene of the accident and complied with investigators.
