Around 7:30 p.m., a 13-year-old boy was riding his scooter west across Gilbert Street with headphones on. A vehicle heading south in the left-hand lane struck him near Maureen Drive.

The boy sustained serious injuries in the collision. The driver reminded at the accident scene and cooperated with officials. There was no suspicion of intoxicated driving.
